"Be Trained - Be Confident"

School Safety Officer Training active shooter training

Does each school in your district have an active shooter event plan?

Integrity FTC is now pleased to offer School Safety Officer Training to employees of school districts. George Clendenin is a DPS Certified School Safety Instructor per Texas law and GC §411.1901. Our Team at IntegrityFTC will come to your school and provide comprehensive school safety training to your administrators, staff and teachers.

Are your teachers prepared and trained? Did you know that Texas law allows your teachers who possess an LTC to be trained and armed with school district approval? Did you know that there is no profile for an active shooter and they can be of any age, race, and social-economic background?

Let us help you keep our children safe.

We have been trained by the Texas Department of Public Safety State Troopers and approved curriculum. We are the best of the best and selected for this training. We can work with your existing security plan.  We will work with local law enforcement and first responders in developing the best plan for your school. We then train your teachers and staff. We also offer a defensive Pistol 301 class specifically for educators and the scenarios they may encounter.

Course objective: The overall objective of this course is to educate students (teachers and administrators) on the responsibilities related to school safety who are employees of a school district or open-enrollment charter school. Training is recommended at 2 levels. The first is general overall awareness and safety training for every employee on campus. The second level are for teachers who hold a license to carry a handgun. Only teachers who have a current LTC may receive a certificate of training as directed by law and the Texas Department of Public Safety. This certification is only awarded after the student successfully completes and passes 16 hours of required training (2 days).

Outlined objectives are:

• Protection of students

• Interaction of license holders with first responders

• Tactics for denying an intruder entry into a classroom or school facility

• Methods for increasing a license holders’ accuracy with a handgun while under duress

Who is eligible to take this class:

There are 2 ways we can offer this training:

First is to have the support and approval of your school district and we work through them (preferred).

Second is only needed if your school district does want to pursue this type of training. In that situation, if you are an employee of a school district or open-enrollment charter school who hold a license to carry you are eligible to take our class. Class is limited to 6 students per Texas State requirements.
